十日町、津南ガイドツアーの紹介記事 （Monitoring tour in Tsunan and Tokamachi, Niigata）

Monitoring tours to examine a potentiality of tourism in Uonuma, Niigata in Autumn, 2011.

I guided the two tours in two months in Tsunan (津南）and Tokamachi (十日町市）, which included a total of 30 students from different countries from IUJ (国際大学、新潟県南魚沼市）. 

2/2 2011 Snow in Uonuma

I do not know when was the last time I saw the sun. Snow has finally stopped. It had snowed for the last 40 days. Sunshine! It is expected to have nice weather for some days from today. It is really a long winter. We all know we have to live with this. But it snows too much this winter.
It has snowed for the last 40 days. Irihirose (入広瀬) in Uonuma-shi has recorded 4 meter of snow so far.

Heavy snow fall! Ooyuki

Uonuma is hit by the heaviest snow fall in years(5-6 years?). It is about 3 and half meters high today (Jan. 28 2011) in the heaviest part, Irihirose in Uonuma city. Uonuma ranks first in height of snow today. It is actually nice to watch snow falling if you can just watch. I mean if you do not live here, you do not have to clear the snow. You can just enjoy.

It will be really great to see snow fall in bathing in hot spring (onsen). It is only 90 minute train ride from Tokyo where you see no snow at all. Landscape totally change once you get into Niigata thorough the tunnel (Kanetsu tunnel). Come and enjoy the snow along with sake and hot spring!

Snow

It has been snowing for some days. The landscape has totally changed in the last few days. It is a lot of work to clear the snow. I was out clearing snow for 3 hours today. We are expecting　50cm of snow by tomorrow morning. Another 3 hour for snow work for tomorrow? There is one good thing about the job though. Sake tastes great after the long snowy day.

15.000円（半日4時間まで）

追加料金：

1. 交通費：　実費

キャンセルについて：

ツアー7日-3日前まで：30パーセント

ツアー2日-1日前まで：80パーセント

ツアー当日：100パーセント

Mt.Komagatake（駒ヶ岳）

In autumn, the mountains in Uonuma show beautiful colors, which can only be found in nature. I had a great time in one of the most beautiful mountains in the region and appreciated the beauty of nature. My choice was Mt. Komagatake（越後駒ヶ岳）. It is 2003 meters high, one of the highest in the region. The paths are long with lots of ups and downs. It was a eight hour trekking from Shioritouge （枝折峠）, where I parked my car and started off . It was chilly and foggy in the morning. But it was not a big problem as the weather tuned great in a few hours from the start.

尾瀬国立公園 Oze National Park

Situated on the boundaries of Niigata, Fukushima, Gunma and Tochigi prefectures and designated as a National Park, Oze boasts one of the most scenic views in Japan. It is a wetland full of beauty and charms. Oze consists of Ozegahara moor, Ozenuma lake and surrounding mountains over 2000 meter high, forests and small moors. Ozegahara is the largest high moors in Japan covering 760 ha across the area. Eco tourism has been developed and visitors can appreciate the beautiful site on boadwalks. They are advised to follow the rules not to destroy the sensitive ecosystem of the park.
